Story
Cally graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Banking and Finance, dual degree. To enable Cally to fast track her legal career, she then went on to complete her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, and commenced working with T Lawyers as a Junior Solicitor at the end of 2008. Whilst working at T lawyers she completed her Masters of Laws. Working at T Lawyers has given Cally the opportunity to practice in a vast range of areas of laws. She believes that working in a multicultural environment has enabled her to meet people with different walks of life.
Her time at T Lawyers has been and continues to be an invaluable experience and full of new opportunities to expand her horizons. Over the years, Cally has taken particular interest in negotiating and advising on commercial matters, such as franchises, licences and commercial freehold conveyancing and leasing matters. She has successfully assisted her clients in securing franchise agreements for Coffee Club, Donut King, Michel’s Patisseries, Sumo Salad, Dominos, Chatime, and Gongcha to name a few.
Using her experienced negotiation and drafting skills to seal deals for purchases and sales of Caravan Parks, Motels, and Commercial Retail Shopping Centre and Complexes on terms that are most favourable to her clients, is like a new adventure every day. Being able to protect her clients’ best interests whilst supporting and guiding them through their purchase/ sale journey is something she considers as most rewarding.
Cally has also been on the other side of the fence where she assisted clients in setting up their own licence agreements and ensuring the terms of the licence agreement protects their brand’s reputation and goodwill.
During her own time, Cally enjoys exploring different cuisines and cultures and is especially fond of attending different food festivals and trying new cuisines.
Cally believes that the close-knit team at T Lawyers has served as a great vessel in allowing Cally to assist her clients to achieve their goals and protect their rights whilst also being able to learn about different cultures and values.
